Description:
Arrive on stage and drink a liter of Pommard 1972. See what happens. This play I directed at the Théâtre de Nice during the first Mardi de la création calls for explanation: I have three things to say about it:

1 Having drunk and drinking having quickly gone to my head the day after upon waking I no longer remembered some things I had said to my entourage.

This loss of control – which I should have expected, I did not like it.

Having as a principle, in my everyday life, to be responsible for my words.

2 These personal considerations are not taken into consideration at all for me on the value of the play in the scope of research for new theater, where I find it positive because a successful example of the border art/life.

3 I had planned that the les Mardi de la création would be a place where we would try things out and not a place of consecration. My play as an experiment entered this scope.

Among the reaction received after this play here is one, Goalec's.

Goalec: "It is above all the Mardis de la recreation (Recreation Tuesdays), a childish evening for a grown up. Ben has again mistaken the target. He should have organized a children matinee, with snack and hoopla. He can be excused, his marketing service being on strike. We were served an unpalatable story from the star undergoing a change of life putting on airs on the microphone and dubious confidences. A show that no longer makes us laugh, light years away from creation."
