Témoignage:
Raoul Hébréard | Limites III, 1982
Description:
An installation on stage of various elements (stones, soup tureens, perpends, small TV monitors) occupying the entire space. In the middle is a rectangle of black nylon and to the side a table covered in Calandrite (tarred canvas) and two chairs; behind the table is a projection screen showing slides of different images of the city, an audio cassette player, and a speaker. The performance consisted of burying myself under all of the objects on stage while Dominique Angel and Josée Sicard read and recorded a text written by Dominique. When both the burying and the reading were finished, I found myself buried in front of the audience. My partners rewound the text, left the screen blank (with only the light of the projector), and played the recording. The sound was all the way up and completely distorted. On stage, there was simply a person under a pile of objects, lit by the weak natural lighting and the white screen.
