Description: 
On a boat, Pinoncelli redid the Count of Monte Cristo’s gesture. He locks himself in a large ballasted bag, hands tied and gets thrown into the sea. Once under water he frees himself and returns to the surface. The story has it that Pinoncelli did this action once again because journalists could not take satisfying pictures and that the witnesses couldn’t see much.
Pierre Pinoncelli had trained in a pool and had realized he needed a very tight bag so that the tension could allow an easy piercing.
