Description:
The art of selling a little more.

Jean Mas’ posting unauthorized "for sale" signs was an active sculptural action. The artist was opening the possibility of an event: what was going to happen?

This conceptual proposition tended to sculpt the place where the signs were posted. It was a sculpture of the mind elaborated by searching for all possible implications: the spectator was present as maître d’oeuvre.

"For sale"!

Jean Mas was a sculptor. His tool was the sign.

"For sale"! Artistic provocation playing with a possibility in order to raise it to an artistic conscience.

"For sale"! The groan of suffocation of a production unable to circulate, symptoms of a society?

"For sale"! A "necessary" necessity.

With this gesture, the artist became a signalizer (hunting with signs), placing his written trap to catch a glance while restoring it to freedom.
