Russian roulette Grand Festival, Solo for death

Creator:
Serge III
Performer:
Serge III
Theoretical background:
In early 1964, Ben, with others and myself, made two Fluxus concerts in Nice and then we both went to Paris for the Festival de Libre expression organized by Jean-Jacques Lebel. A Fluxus concert in which I played Russian roulette with a real gun and a real bullet.
Two friends, Robert Bozzi and Una Lintkus wanted to prevent me from doing so and I had to tell them that the gun was not loaded. Hence the running rumour pretending the gun was not loaded. It was, and Robert Filliou, who became one of my dearest friends has always attested the fact, since he saw me right after my performance.

Description:
Referring to his famous work for Solo pour la mort (Solo for death), performed in Paris, in1964, during the Festival de Libre expression (Festival of Free Expression) in which he proceeded to a real Russian roulette, Serge III offers a less dangerous version by inviting the audience to fire a shot at a target. There is only one bullet in the gun. Each participant receives a certificate.
