Theoretical background:

The concept of "chess therapy" (also "failure therapy") is a therapeutic approach which will be continued in two nursing homes in Pergomas, as well as in a Parisian hospital as recreation for the young patients. The data will be refined in the course of various interventions with blind people and with autistic youth, for whom a dance following a game of chess allowed them to reposition themselves socially.

Description:

Twenty-some games had been presented on the tabels in Ben’s garden. A great ladder leaning against the highest window of his house, enabled me, dressed in all leather, to come down the side of his house to the garden, where a game of chess has begun. I appear before every player who responds to my previous move and in response, I make the move that seems most appropriate. I go around to all players and return to table 1 and start again until each part is lost or gone.
