Description:
Like the preceding year, the performance was part of the Printemps des Poètes (Spring for the Poets), the national theme that year being the Lettera amorosa. Eric and Joseph first wondered about the poster for the event; with the help of a PowerPoint show they claimed they were giving a semeiological analysis of it. Indeed the poster and the invitation produced by the city had remarkable visual, textual and typographic aspects (not to mention the layout). The performance ended with an operatic song by the Comédiens Harmonistes, mimed by Eric and Joseph, while the words of In einem kühlen Grunde (in the original German version) scrolled down the screen of the theater, providing the audience with the text, in white letters on a black background, of what they were unable to understand.
