Description:

IN 1983, WHEN JUST A BEGINNER, MAX WAS ALREADY DOING ANYTHING TO DO SOMETHING INTERESTING. IN NICE, DURING A PERFORMANCE FESTIVAL, HE HUNG UP A WIRE FROM WHICH HE SUSPENDED VARIOUS OBJECTS: A COKE CAN, BALL OF COTTON, CHEWING GUM, ETC. HE WAS DANCING, SINGING, AND WASHING HIS TONGUE WITH SHAVING CREAM… “My number was as poor as possible. I had constructed a sort of cableway made of taut wire and various accessories, including a can of Coca Cola. Making everything slide on the wire (tissues, orange peel, toys, lit cigarettes, firecrackers), I was shaking, talking a lot of ‘bullshit,’ dancing, singing and spraying the audience with coke. The ‘number’ was called: ‘coca in cola off.’”
