Case? What is it? memory… the travel bag. the memories remain… but this moment will disappear.

The theme is memory. A memory of a street in Cannes.

The suitcase, the feathers in the suitcase, and the chalk. The piece of music Boulevard St Germain.
What’s more, this suitcase belongs to my personal history.

I participated in an artistic and cultural event in the Mimont-Prado-République neighborhood in Cannes. The intervention of no-made artists allowed me to bring to life the fantasy of history, of the present and future of this neighborhood, of what its residents live. The mixing of cultures, the connections, the borders, the contradictions… The mark that I made and let disappear over time… but the memory of this action will stay in us.

What I wanted to represent is the moment when we are here, present with the feeling.

Finally, the mark is what remains of the image.

Description: 
Images and memory of a neighborhood.
1. I walk down the street with my suitcase.

2. With each step, I mark my footprints with chalk.

3. I go towards the audience, and I mark their feet the same way.

4. I draw the silhouette of my body with the chalk.

5. I open my suitcase. Inside, there are feathers. I put them on the outline of my body.

6. I continue on my way.

7. The feathers fly gently away, the chalk drawings also disappearing over time.
